Deep buttoning is beautiful and impractical on seats, because button wells collect crumbs and buttons pull out under use. The Chesterfield End puts the buttoning where it can be admired and never sat on: the end face. A caramel leather panel is deep-buttoned in the classic diamond pattern, while the seating face carries easy-clean horizontal channels in a lighter fabric.
The contrast of soft bouclé or wool on the front with a buttoned leather end gives a steakhouse, cigar room or British pub-dining room its old-school character while keeping the seating practical for nightly service.
Each button is hand-set and tied through to the panel. Hand buttoning adds a few days to production, confirmed in your quote. The end is built as part of the run on our standard frame and plinth.
